Daniel Monroe is a tropical bass fanatic who has performed at Notting Hill Carnival and several other major events. He has supported some larger acts, playing in the same venue as Carbon Airways. After just a year of producing, he managed to get recognized by the likes of Cher Lloyd when he produced an official remix for her.
At the age of 14, he became interested in the world of music but didn’t have a clue what he was doing. He downloaded some software (FL Studio for producing and Traktor for mixing) and within a week, he was making tracks. As he progressed, he got in the mix at some small clubs such as Tokyo in Lincoln, Lemmon in Marbella and a few of his local clubs.
After just 6 months, he got one of his Moombahton singles played in a mix on VICE’s official radio station Thump. Recognized by Bacondo, a tropical bass duo featured on MAD-DECENT, they approached him and asked for one of his tracks. The mix has been heard by thousands of people to date!
Aside from producing music, he was a writer for Global Bass, an online tropical bass music community, where he has interviewed renowned musicians such as Creamfields headliner Novaspace. Future prospects include collaborations with many artists and studying music therapy at university; he will have his work cut out for him. Along with many talented musicians regularly playing his tracks in their sets, and headline act Deekline playing one of his tracks at a major event, he has already made an impact in the world of dance music.
