Four New Artists To Join Teknofonic Recordings
Teknofonic Recordings is pleased to welcome four new artists to its label. Joining the roster are DJ Wicked G, Hypnotriq, Jilted Hoodz, and Elastic Plastic Generation. Look for their releases on this site and on digital stores in the coming months!
The style of the Australian electronic duo Jilted Hoodz is hard to put in a box due to its genre-defying qualities, but it could be described as something a bit like “the Philharmonic orchestra gets bass obsessed and meets with The Chronic.” The duo busted out onto the scene in 2013 reaching No. 3 on the Beatport’s Top 100 Glitch Hop charts with their debut EP, followed by a second EP release, which went to No. 8 on the Juno Top 500 Breakbeat charts. Jilted Hoodz’ influences and genres include Glitch Hop, Trip Hop, Dubstep, Breakbeat, IDM, Future/Bass Music, and Hip Hop to name a few.
Hailing from Miami, FL, DJ Wicked G is an eclectic artist, producer and DJ who set out to offer his own take on Hip-Hop, Trap, EDM, Minimal, and Techno. It’s all about tight beats, warm and fat analog sounding layers of synths and lush melodies. DJ Wicked G truly bridges the gap between the focus and balance of new productions and the grit and warmth of the influential pioneers of the early scene, which makes for an absolutely unique experience.
Emerging producer from Columbus, OH, Hypnotriq has set out on a mission to inspire listeners with his genre-bending, hypnotic sound. His mind-blowing music is sure to leave you craving more tracks from this artist.
New Yorker Steve Sandberg, aka Elastic Plastic Generation, is known for producing upbeat music with good vibes, sprinkled with a variety of cultural influences. His new EP, set to be released on the Teknofonic imprint this summer, showcases his vibrant and colorful blend of cross-cultural tracks filled with bouncy beats, monster electric keys, manipulated vocals, and a healthy dose of attitude.
